Abstract

In this paper is presented a method for solving linear optimization problems. The Simplex method's algorithm is described. Тhe specific practical problem related to finding an optimal solution to an economic task has been formulated and implemented using the Simplex method. The method is versatile, applicable to a wide range of tasks across various fields. It operates as a sequence of finite iterations and allows for identifying model characteristics, such as the existence of alternative optima and unsolvability. The Solver tool from Microsoft Excel is presented for deciding problems in the field of linear and nonlinear programming.
