Abstract

AdaptWeb® is an e-learning environment designed to offer personalized content to different groups of stu-dents according to student’s models that are mainly based on personal information. This paper shows how the platform is modified to support ubiquitous learning, managing mobility, social interaction, device inde-pendence, and context awareness in a broader and richer notion of the student’s context. The paper presents the architecture and its implementation by three different kinds of data servers, working together for modeling the situations experienced by the students, storing their profiles and contexts, and maintaining corresponding learning objects.
