Abstract:
Enterprise information systems integration is essential for organizations to fulfil interoperability requirements between applications and business processes. To carry out most typical integration requirements, traditional software development methodologies are not suitable. Neither are enterprise package implementation methodologies. Thus, specific ad-hoc methodologies are needed for information systems integration. This paper proposes the basis for a new method for enterprise information systems integration in order to facilitate continuous learning and centralized management during all the integration process. This method has been developed based on the ontology defined in ISO/IEC 24744.
