Crop Recommendation System Using Machine Learning

Abstract

Agriculture plays a crucial role in the global economy, and selecting the right crop based on environmental and soil conditions is essential for maximizing yield. Traditional crop recommendation systems rely on manual analysis, which may not always be accurate. This paper proposes a Deep Learning-based Crop Recommendation System that leverages soil parameters (such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, pH, temperature, humidity, and rainfall) to suggest the best-suited crops for farmers. We employ a Neural Network (NN) and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model trained on agricultural datasets to predict optimal crops. The system aims to improve decision-making in farming, enhance productivity, and reduce resource wastage. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model achieves high accuracy in crop recommendation compared to traditional methods.
