Abstract

This article presents a comparative case study between autotune and AI voice cloning for automatic pitch corrections. A recording of a vocalist with pitch inconsistencies is used as the source signal for pitch correction. Autotune and AI voice cloning results are observed and analysed using melodic range spectrograms to highlight the differences between these approaches. This study's findings revealed each approach's uniqueness, followed by reflections and considerations as recommendations for music production practice.
