Abstract

Biometric authentication systems aim to authenticate users with their physiological characteristics. They have to deal with the inherent noise that occurs when biometric data from the same individual are captured several times. Leveraging verifiable computation techniques, we introduce a new biometric authentication scheme where users bring proofs of who they pretend to be, while keeping their biometrics. Experimental results show that our scheme is practical. We detail a real-life use-case of our anonymous self-scan protocol.
