Abstract

The article presents an approach to the analysis of processes in social networks based on using multifaceted ontologies. An overview of existing tools for analyzing social networks is provided and the results of studying social networks are presented. A multifaceted ontology describing social networks has been developed based on the research findings. The main result for this study is the ontology of events, which can be used to pre- process data, extracted from social networks, to generate event logs in a form suitable for export to Process Mining tools to analyze networks (identification of user behavior patterns, analysis of information distribution, etc.). Examples illustrating the proposed approach are given.
