Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the connection between the risk profile and performance of public banks on the Indonesian Stock Exchange for the years 2012–2015. This research uses a quantitative method and a purposive sampling technique with a sample population of 128. The results show that Non-Performing Loan and Loan to Deposit Ratio have a significant and negative effect on Return on Assets, while Net Open Position has no significant effect on Return on Assets. The conclusion that taken from this research is that the performance of a bank is dependent on how the bank manages its performing loans and its liquidity.
