Abstract

In this paper we describe the Markup and Validation agents in Vijjana, a model for transforming a collection of URLs (Uniform Resource Locators) into a useful knowledge network which reveals the semantic connections between these disparate knowledge units. The markup process is similar to, but much more involved than the traditional book-marking. All the relevant metadata corresponding to a particular Uniform Resource locator is generated and passed on to the organizing agent, which adds this URL to the database. Validation agent checks and ensures the database is consistent and has valid entries.
