Abstract: Energy optimal control of collision avoidance is significant in aerospace and robotics. In this paper, we are to investigate the energy optimal control problem of avoiding collision from two inertial objects, in a differential game manner. In particular, we develop the optimal control structure by applying the already published payoff augmentation method, and the result shows that the control of the evader is zero in some time periods. For verification, a simulation case is constructed and the results are consistent with the theoretical analysis.
