Abstract: Background :Hatha Yoga is a large branch of yoga, uses the principles of relaxation exercises and cardiorespiratory endurance exercises. There is a decrease of executive function di diabetes mellitus (DM) patient. Several studies have shown that yoga can help lower fasting blood glucose, blood fats and as glycemic control so it is expected to reduce the occurrence of complications including microvascular and makrovaskular that affect cognitive function. Objective :To prove the effect of hatha yoga excercise in increasing executive function of diabetes mellitus patient Study design : Randomized controlled pre and post group design. Material and Methods : 30 patients with diabetes mellitus in Primary health Care. Subjects were divided into two groups. The treatment group was given intervention Hatha Yoga exercises 3 times per week for 6 weeks, the control group was not given any intervention.Main outcome measurements are mean change score of the Stroop color word test (SCWT) and the Trail Making Test part B (TMT-B) before and after intervention. Results: There are significant differences in SCWT (p = 0.001) and TMT-B (p = 0.000).
