Abstract: Muscle power is the ability of muscle to produce maximum force in/at a time. Lower extremity muscle power is one of the most important because if it’s weak, it will disturb someone’s daily activity and finally it will reduce productivity and quality of life of that person. Kinesio taping is one of the taping technique that expected to increase muscle power. The objective was to know the effect of kinesio taping on lower extremity muscle power in adult males. This research was quasi experimental design. Subjects consisted of 30 adult males age 18 – 22 years old and will be examined the lower extremity muscle power using Margaria-Kalamen Power Test before (pre-test), 20 minutes after (post-test 20m), and 24 hours after (post-test 24h) using kinesio taping. Data were analyzed using One-Way ANOVA and post-hoc test Fisher’s LSD with α = 0.05. The result showed that means of muscle power pre-test (841.02+200.09) is lower than post-test 20m (1037.64+205.77) and post-test 24h (1088.33+200.2 1) after using kinesio taping and generated p<0.01 respectively.
