Abstract: Since their introduction use cases are one of the most widespread used techniques to specify functional requirements. Because low quality use cases often cause serious problems in later phases of the development process the simulation of use cases may be an important technique to assure the quality of use case de-scriptions. In this paper we present a model based use case simulation environment for narrative use cases. At first we motivate core requirements of a simulation environment and an underlying execution model. Moreover we describe our model based simulation approach and present some first experiences.
