Abstract: This paper studies the electro-thermal and electromagnetic properties of carbon fiber heating wire (CFHW) buried in airport cement concrete pavement. The temperature of CFHW is analyzed when the input power of CFHW is from 10 W/m to 60 W/m. The magnetic flux density is analyzed when the heat flux is from 100 W/m2 to 600 W/m2. It is shown that the temperature of 24k CFHW is higher than that of 48k CFHW, and the magnetic flux density of pavement with 15 cm CFHW spacing is higher than that of 10 cm CFHW spacing. The 24k CFHW is more suitable for melting snow on airport pavement. The magnetic flux density can meet the electromagnetic environment requirements for aeronautical radio navigation stations.
