Abstract: This study aimed to compare the acute alteration of both C-Reactive Protein (CRP) and Creatine Kinase (CK) level after resistance training with and without vascular occlusion in untrained healthy male subjects. The subjects (n=15) were randomized into 3 groups of Biceps Brachii muscle strengthening intensities with and without vascular occlusion. The 3 groups were High-Intensity (70% of 1 Repetitive Maximum) Resistance Training (HIRT), Low-Intensity (30% of 1 Repetitive Maximum) Resistance Training (LIRT) + Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) and Low-Intensity (30% of 1 Repetitive Maximum) Resistance Training (LIRT). Each subject was measured for both CRP and CK serum level just before and 24 hours after the training. There was no statistically significant alteration in both CRP and CK serum level 24 hours after the training in all groups. In addition, there was no statistically significant difference in alteration of both CRP and CK serum level 24 hours after the training among the three g roups. Resistance training with and without vascular occlusion do not give the risk factors for the occurrence of vascular problems (More)
