Abstract: This paper offers an analysis of the stages of firm life cycle in companies of the same sector (stone, clay, glass, and concrete products) using sales as a proxy. Reviewing a theory stating that different phases of firms are irreversible, the study proposes the concept of firm life cycle of five stages: birth, growth, maturity, maturity survival, and maturity revival. The final conclusion of this study contradicts a proposition that firm life cycle stages is purely based on the firm itself, not the relation between firm life cycles.
