Abstract:
We investigate the ultrafast dynamics of femtosecond pulse propagation in a gas-filled kagome hollow-core photonic crystal fiber (HC-PCF). We show that, by varying the gas pressure, the zero dispersion wavelength of such fiber can be tuned across the ultraviolet (UV), visible and near-infrared spectral regions. The soliton effect compression, deep-UV light and supercontinumm generation are investigated using a generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation.
