Foreword: The fourth Computer Supported Activity Coordination workshop (CSAC-2007) intends to be a forum for debate of issues concerning all kinds of activity coordination, including business process modelling, workflow, computer supported cooperative work/groupware, multi-agent systems, business process modelling and other types of organized activities that can benefit from computer support. The emphasis of the workshop is mainly on human activity support and not merely on technical issues. The accepted papers are related to computer-based systems or methodologies that support teams or groups in the workplace, including the integration of multiple computer-based tools and technologies and the impact on the social activities supported by those tools and technologies. This volume contains all the papers presented at CSAC 2007, held in Funchal - Portugal, June 12, 2007. From 16 submissions, after a double blind revision process, a total of 9 papers were selected for oral presentation arranged in a single track program and 1 was selected for poster session. The first session of the workshop consisted of a keynote lecture, delivered by Prof. Colin Atkinson, from the University of Mannheim, Germany, on the theme “Simplifying Enterprise Systems Integration using an Orthogonal Classification Architecture”. The second session has a set of four papers focused on integration and coordination issues at the workplace; in the remaining two sessions we have five papers that discuss the subjects of datamining, decision support and learning in the scope of enterprise management and coordination. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the authors, who provided the rich material discussed at the workshop, and the members of the Program Committee who have reviewed and assessed the scientific merit of each submitted paper, thus ensuring high quality standards. Last but not least, thanks to Vitor Pedrosa for his effort in the secretariat support, and in the edition of these proceedings. (More)
