Abstract

Researchersandpublicinstitutionsalikehavedemonstratedanincreasedinterestinassessingthequality of students, supervision andtheir satisfaction withit:Researchers have attempted toinvestigate thepossible predicting variablesof students’satisfaction withtheir supervision andits outcomes forstudents’accomplishmentsandoveralllifesatisfaction.The measurementusedforthesatisfactionof theacademicsupervisor usingtheconstructofinterdependencetheorywhichispartofthe socialexchangetheorythatdiscussedthecostand rewardin sucharelationship.Inthismeasure,we tookthreedimensionsof thisinterdependencetheory,namely costs,rewards,andthecomparisonlevel.Thirty-twoparticipantsparticipatedinthisstudy,conveniencemethods usedforsampleselection.Thefindingsofthepresentstudy supportthehypothesisbasedonInterdependence Theory.Validityandreliabilityofthescaleweresuccessfullytestedaswell.Thus,wemayconcludethatthe newapproachtothemeasurementofsatisfactionwiththe relationshipwithan academicadvisormaybeestablished. Thefinalresultfromthe measurementis 16itemshavegoodvalidity,and3constructsshowedgoodreliability.
