Abstract

In this work we address the problem of plantation rows identification on UAV imaged coffee crop fields. A fair number of approaches address the problem using the Hough Transform. However it assumes the plantation lines are straight which is hardly the case in Aerial images. We propose a tiling scheme which allows one to acceptably approximate the rows inside each tile to straight lines making it feasible to apply the Hough Transform. Experimental results compared to ground truths seems to indicate the proposed approach successfully approximate real plantation rows.
