Abstract

The goal of this research is to study how organizations achieve and balance their conflicting organizational objectives with the help of dynamic platform strategies. This is done by analyzing the Android platform where the translation of the organizational objectives of the platform controller Google into its platform strategies is examined through a series of cases. The analysis is done through the lens of the competing values framework where changing organizational goals of platform controllers are mapped and understood through the enactment of their platform strategies.
