Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of Problem Base Learning (PBL) method in the learning process of Adult Education Course. The application of the PBL method is done to the student of Agricultural Extension program which amounted to 29 people. This research was conducted in the even semester, from January to May 2018. The effectiveness of PBL method was measured by comparison of the distribution of student scores with PBL method with the distribution of students in subjects not applying the PBL method and analyzing the student's response to PBL method by way of data collection through questionnaires to 29 students participating in Adult Education. The results showed that the application of the PBL method in the Adult Education course is quite effective. This is indicated by the comparison of the students' grades in the course with the PBL method with the distribution of the students' scores on non-PBL courses and the students' response to the PBL method implementation is in the medium category.
