Abstract

Abstract Background: Diabetes Mmellitus is a disease characterized by hyperglycemia and causes the use of glucose that requires the role of insulin in peripheral tissues to be reduced. The uphill treadmill exercise is one type of high intensity interval training HIIT exercise. High intensity interval training (HIIT) is an exercise or training system interspersed with intervals in the form of periods of rest. This exercise can be used in patients with Ttype 2 Ddiabetes Mmellitus (DM). Objective: To determine the effect of uphill treadmill and the addition of treadmill angle to in decreasing decreased post prandial blood glucose levels and in increasingincreased levels of GLUT-4 protein in muscle of mice (Mus musculus) Mellitus . Methods: The study group was divided into 4 groups of 1 with regular activity, group 2 with treadmill exercise for 20 minutes without an inclination angle, group 3 with consentricconcentric continous consentric traininguation for 20 minutes withat an inclination angle of 100, and group 4 with HIIT concentric training for 29 minutesat an inclination angle of 100 with a ratio of 3:2. Blood glucose levels arewere calculated using colorimetryic with easy touch protocol. Levels of glucose muscle transporters were examined using ELISA monoclonal antibody. Results: Post prandial blood glucose levels in thegroups 2, 3, and 4 groups with treadmill exercises were significantly lower than in the 1st group without treadmill. GLUT-4 levels showed insignificant results in all groups. Conclusion: Uphill treadmill exercises at intervals (group 4) decreased blood glucose levels compared to the control group (group 1), and there was no difference in the GLUT-4 muscle protein levels in all groups.
