Abstract

Abstract: This Surabaya International Physiology Seminar (SIPS) has a focus on the physiology curriculum. As a Physiology teacher since 1986 I would like to take this opportunity to share some personal thoughts. The Faculty of Medicine , Universiti Malaya has also moved along the medical education timeline from a classical lecture-centered to a more student-center approach to learning. Beyond brain storming and thinking continually of how to better our programme to deliver and train medical graduates, I believe there are core values that should anchor all academic efforts. I will separate and talk of some of these essentials under a few questions: Who, Why, What, Where and When do we teach?
