Abstract

This paper presents a transceiver module employing a resonant tunneling diode (RTD), which can be operated as both a transmitter and a receiver just by changing the bias voltages. Error-free wireless transmission experiments have successfully been demonstrated at 300 GHz at bit rates of 10 Gbit/s and 2,5 Gbit/s by using an RTD receiver and a transceiver, respectively.
