Abstract

The present paper proposes a variant of the Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol for Mobile Ad-hoc NETworks (MANETs) by means of an Abstract State Machine (ASM)-based model. The variant introduces a new unicast message, which makes each host aware about the network topology more quickly than in the original AODV.
