Abstract

In this paper, the idea of applying cuckoo search algorithm to search for key-points in 2D images is formulated. For a set of test images we present and verify simplified version, it’s efficiency and precision. Research results are presented and discussed in comparison to classic methods like simplified SURF and SIFT algorithms to show potential efficiency of applied computational intelligence.
