Abstract

This paper provides a detailed description of how TermPedia which is a document enrichment tool, is applied to educational literature in order to help students easily understand their reading material. The paper assumes that technical terms are one of the major hindrances to document content comprehension. TermPedia has the ability to extract, define, and link technical terms to Wikipedia. It is expected that relevant term definitions and explanations will ease the comprehension of educational documents by students and thereby improve their reading speed and shorten the time they needed for knowledge acquisition.
