Abstract

This paper describes the experience of evaluating an e-book device based peer-to-peer collaborative learning system with a 3G-WiFi ad-hoc network configuration. Two evaluations were conducted followed by two focus group interviews. Results show that future design of e-book devices should consider the educational affordance of integrating web browser and Internet chat functionality to accelerate the potential adoption of e-book devices for collaborative e-learning or m-learning environments.
