Abstract

The rapid development of Russian e-commerce has involved the emergence of different Web sites. The latest tendencies showed that there is an upward trend in online purchases in the country. This paper examines the results of a quality survey of three different types of cosmetic Web sites in Russia. This industry sector is of particular interest because of its rapid growth and a wide range of organizations involved in this business. The Web sites are examined in terms of design, usability, and information quality. The findings show strengths and weaknesses of the sites and demonstrate user impressions over the interaction with the Web sites.
