Abstract

In this paper we analyse three different approaches to multi-agent co-ordination, with an accent on the concept of “right-based” agents as opposed to free-rider agents and normative agents. We claim that a balance between unrestricted behaviour and regulatory systems would make collections of agents perform more efficiently, particularly when the complexity and the dynamicity of the environment increases. We present preliminary results on a set of experiments using a traffic simulator.
