Abstract

Researchers have long been seeking the most suitable formalism and method to build models of dynamic systems for diagnostic tasks. In this paper, we claim that the main difficulty stems from the lack of global formalism capable of taking into account structural, functional and behavioral knowledge. To illustrate this point, we propose a comparison between two modeling approaches.
