Abstract

This paper addresses the design of an ambient intelligent system to support humans that follow “activity scheduling” therapy to recover from a uni-polar depression. The system consists of a personalized website and a mobile-phone based reporting a reminder system. To analyse the system, a previously developed dynamic model is used to simulate a client. It is illustrated by interactive simulation that the system is more effective than the plain internet-based therapy that is offered at the moment. In continuation of the work described in this paper a clinical trial is planned in the first half of 2009.
