Foreword: This book contains the proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Physiological Computing Systems (PhyCS 2015) which was organized and sponsored by the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC), co-organized by ESEO, held in cooperation with the ACM SIGCHI, in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon | Portugal, Fraunhofer, IT – Instituto de Telecomunicações and several other partners, and hosted this year by ESEO, Institute of Science and Technology in Angers, France. These published proceedings demonstrate new and innovative solutions, highlighting technical problems in each field that are challenging for future research. PhyCS was organized to provide a forum for researchers, developers, manufacturers and end-users working in the field of physiological computing and to establish guidelines in the development of advanced solutions. In this edition of PhyCS 33 contributions were received from all five continents from which 6 papers were selected for publication as full papers; 5 papers were accepted for short presentation and 8 were accepted for poster presentation. The result was an oral-paper acceptance ratio of 33% and a high-quality program that is attractive to experts from the field of Physiological Computing. We hope that these Conference Proceedings, submitted for indexation by the Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index, INSPEC, DBLP and EI, may help the Physiological Computing community to find interesting research work. Moreover, we are proud to include three plenary keynote lectures in our program, provided by internationally distinguished researchers, namely Sergi Jorda (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Spain), Leontios Hadjileontiadis (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece) and Alan Pope (NASA, USA), thus contributing to increase the overall quality of the conference and to provide a deeper understanding of the conference interest fields. In order to promote the development of professional networks the organizing committee has prepared a Conference Dinner in the evening of February 12th. We hope that you enjoy this exciting conference and have an unforgettable stay in the beautiful city of Angers, France. Finally, we would like to express our thanks, first of all, to the authors of the technical papers, whose work and dedication make possible to put together an exciting program of high technical quality. We would also like to thank all the members of the program committee and auxiliary reviewers, who helped us with their expertise and time. We would also like to thank the invited speakers for their invaluable contribution and for sharing their vision in their talks. We are especially grateful to the INSTICC Steering Committee whose invaluable work made this event possible. We wish you all an exciting conference and an unforgettable stay in Angers, France. We hope to meet you again for the next edition of PhyCS, details of which will be shortly available at http://www.phycs.org. (More)
