Foreword: This volume contains the proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Software Paradigm Trends (ICSOFT-PT 2015), which is sponsored by the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC) and held in cooperation with the IEICE Special Interest Group on Software Interprise Modelling (SWIM). The purpose of ICSOFT-PT is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners interested in information technology and software development. This edition focuses on the four main paradigms that have been intensively studied during the last decade for software and system design, namely: Models, Aspects, Services and Context. ICSOFT-PT 2015 received 25 paper submissions from 12 countries in all continents, of which 52% were orally presented (24% as full papers). To evaluate each submission, a double-blind paper evaluation method was used: each paper was reviewed by at least two internationally known experts from the ICSOFT-PT Program Committee. As in previous editions of the conference, based on the reviewers’ evaluations and on the presentations, a short list of authors will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers for a book which will be published by Springer with the best papers of ICSOFT 2015. The ICSOFT-PT program includes a panel session to discuss aspects of software development from both theoretical and practical perspectives, with the participation of distinguished world-class researchers and practitioners. Furthermore, the program is enriched by several keynote lectures delivered by renowned experts, namely: Eleni Karatza (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece), John Domingue (The Open University, United Kingdom) and David Budgen (School of Engineering & Computing Sciences, Durham University Mountjoy, United Kingdom). These highlights of the conference program definitely contribute to reinforce the overall quality of the ICSOFT-PT conference. The program for this conference required the dedicated effort of many people. Firstly, we must thank the authors, whose research efforts are herewith recorded. Next, we thank the members of the Program Committee and the additional reviewers for their diligent and professional reviewing. Last but not least, we thank the invited speakers for their invaluable contribution and for taking the time to prepare their talks. Finally, a word of appreciation for the hard work of the INSTICC team; organizing a conference of this level is a task that can only be achieved by the collaborative effort of a dedicated and highly capable team. A successful conference involves more than paper presentations; it is also a meeting place, where ideas about new research projects and other ventures are discussed and debated. Therefore, a social event & banquet has been arranged for the evening of July 21st (Tuesday) in order to promote this kind of social networking. We wish you all an exciting conference and an unforgettable stay in the city of Colmar. We hope to meet you again next year at ICSOFT-PT 2016 in Lisbon, Portugal. (More)
