Web Intelligence (WI) has been recognized as a new direction for scientific research and development to explore the fundamental roles as well as practical impacts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) [E.g., knowledge representation, planning, knowledge discovery and data mining, intelligent agents, and social network intelligence) and advanced Information Technology (IT) [E.g., wireless networks, ubiquitous devices, social networks, semantic Web, wisdom Web, and data/knowledge grids) on the next generation of Web-empowered products, systems, services, and activities. It is one of the most important as well as promising IT research fields in the era of Web, agent intelligence and virtual communities. The WEBI 2013 is a Workshop joint to ICEIS 2013. This second workshop edition provides a forum for researchers and practitioners to present results, applications, and experiences in Web Intelligence. We received a number of high quality contributions, from which we selected five full papers
and four short papers. In this way we could put together a very interesting program that covers many challenges being faced by Web Intelligence researchers and practitioners. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the people who have contributed to WEBI 2013. We would like to thank the members of the WEBI 2013 program comity for the huge work they did in evaluating the submitted papers in a very short time, and the authors for their contributions, which have shaped the final program. Finally, special thanks go to the ICEIS secretariat for their support. We wish you an exciting, fruitful workshop, and an unforgettable stay in the wonderful city of Angers, France.
